OUR MISSION: “To complement the family in turning children’s/youth’s hearts to Jesus and growing them into His likeness.”
Our desire at Catalyst is to partner with families in teaching children and youth about God and His love. We want to help our parents develop in their kids a meaningful faith exhibited through actions (doing what is right) and attitude (obeying God from the heart).
We have a wonderful team of volunteers running our Children’s and Youth Ministries. Our team members are commited to caring, teaching, and building relationships with the kid:s. We encourage everyone at Catalyst to get involved in our Children’s or Youth Ministries as we partner together in “turning children’s/youth’s hearts to Jesus and growing them into His likeness.”
NOAH'S NURSERY: Birth to Age Three
This class for our littlest ones offers safe and loving care, a song time and a snack time. They meet in the Teacher’s Lounge adjacent to the school cafeteria.
TOT TENT: Three to Five-Year-Olds
This group of little people enjoys learning about Jesus and His love through beginning Bible stories and lessons, crafts, songs, snacks, and fun play with other children as well as all of our helpers. They meet under the “Red Tent” in the school cafeteria.
CELEBRATION STATION: Kindergarten through 2nd Grades
This group enjoys high-energy media-based Bible lessons, small group prayer and discussion, games, contests, Bible memorization, crafts, snacks, and opportunities for friendships and relationships with other children, teachers and youth. This group meets under the “Blue Tent” in the school cafeteria.
TRANSFORMATION STATION: 3rd through 5th Grades
This group enjoys teacher-led Bible lessons and activities. Other regular activities include body worship, crafts, science, games and contests. In this class the children discover and develop a strong theological framework about who God is-- He is loving, perfect, forgiving, faithful, real, giving, powerful, and good! This group meets in the band room at Stanford.
MAGNETIC: Junior High and High School
Our Youth seek to explore the Bible as God’s Word. We aim to learn the Bible’s theological principles and see how they are still relevant in our world. We also are challenged to respond to Jesus’ invitation to become disciples as we try to be like our rabbi, Jesus. As we turn our hearts to Jesus and grow into his likeness, we want these characteristics to be evident in our community, as we are called to be the “light of the world.” We meet in room 301, off of Ocana Street.
