Japan Team Update - Day #6
HIGH:
- First Day of School! We were treated by the kids of Japan with a memorized presentation of the story of Joseph. They were so impressive as they memorized difficult content that even American kids would struggle with. Our team then taught English through greeting exercises, fun role play, and competitive PE. We're already hearing from parents that their kids are so excited about what's going on at school and children's ministry.
- Daily Worship & Prayer Night! Today the entire service was led by our team. The church's pastors were so blessed by our people and encouraged by the life and spirit we are bringing.

LOW:
- Suicide Prevention- When Jerry & Marcy were returning back to the church in the rain, they encountered a woman who seemed very troubled, but only spoke Japanese. When using a translator app, they realized she was talking about suicide. They swiftly prayed for her and brought her to the church for one of the pastors to help. Sakura came first to pray for deliverance and then one of the pastors came to do all they could... Please pray for the people of Japan. Amidst all the beauty, there is so much darkness and evil... We want revival in the land of Japan!
BUFFALO:
- (on a lighter note) Margarita! One of our lessons was teaching English by role-playing being at a restaurant, so the kids could practice reading a menu and verbally communicating their order. Our Catalyst Team pretended to be restaurant servers and we had the kids from Japan be the customers. When it was time for a kid to order, all they said was "Margarita!" Puzzled by their request, our youth ask to see their ID, but the kid then clarified by saying "Margherita... Pizza!" (too funny!)
This mission has been filled with so many twists and turns! We appreciate all the prayers!
