Wow. Wow. Wow. Amazing! Wow. Wow. Wow. Amazing! Wow. Wow. Wow. Amazing!

Japan Team Update - Day #9

HIGH:

  • Pastor Peter! Our Catalyst Family grows in Fukuoka as Pr. Peter & John Han visit us and Full Gospel Fukuoka Church from Korea. We received uplifting and inspiring words from Pr. Peter after we led the Prayer & Worship Night. It's very humbling to hear from him that our mission trip will have an impact greater than just teaching English, and will also bear fruit in places and times that we didn't expect.
  • Classroom Learning! One of the most rewarding aspects of this mission has been the teaching in the classroom. So much learning has been happening in both ways from the Japan kids learning English through art/ science/ games/ P.E., to our team growing as teachers in skill and classroom management. It's clear to see several kids gaining confidence in their speaking of English. The kids are... amazing!
  • Evan's Art! One of Evan's big dreams is to use his talents as an artist and impact the people of Japan through Biblically themed art. So it was... amazing to see a taste of that in the classrooom today as he and Sean led the kids in an art and English lesson.  They made it so fun and creative!
  • Prayer & Worship Night! Tonight seemed extra special with Pr. Peter & John in the house, but also because of Sakura Miller's testimony. Sakura being on this team has been critical to the health of the partnerships we've developed, so hearing her heart-felt and vulnerable testimony is... amazing.
    • Watch here for worship led by Marcy and Mimi, plus Sakura's testimony

LOW:

  • Health! We need God's touch to bring healing for team members and protection of good health.
  • Endurance! Although our team morale is high, physically we are feeling the fatigue of super long days, daily +15k steps in rain or heat, and maintaining spiritual focus on nightly services.

BUFFALO:

  • Best Katsudon in Town! If you're ever in Fukuoka, Tsuruyahonke (Soba Restaurant) is the place to be! Not only has this place quickly become our favorite restaurant because of the great food, they have an... amazing staff!

Blessings to you all!
