Japan Team Update - Day #16
HIGH:
- Prayer & Worship Night!
- For the past two weeks, Marcy & Mimi have been leading worship almost every night at Prayer Meetings. This has been such a blessing to both the church and our team. As much as we've poured into the students at school, most of the congregation does not see that side of our team. However with worship, that's the most accessible aspect in which the people here are experiencing the heart of Catalyst. In addition, Sakura has been creating slides in both English and Japanese, to help bridge the two sides together.
- Towards the end of tonight's Prayer Meeting, Pastor Kim give an encouraging word to our team. He also shared the inspiring way we've connected with young people and emphasized the importance of evangelism. That highlight felt very special, especially coming from him!
- Sean kicked off our testimony series at the beginning of the trip, and tonight he closes it out for Team 1. The way that God has been moving in Sean's life has been amazing and it's so moving to see that love spreading to all those around him.

- Math! Matt's passion for teaching math spreads internationally. A dream of working with Japanese students came into fruition today as he taught algebra and statistics, and of course they got it!
LOW:
- Health! Different symptoms keep popping up on the team. Please pray for our physical conditions.
BUFFALO:
- Mandarin in Japan! During our random chat times with the kids, we came to learn that two of the students are actually Japanese by nationality, but ethnically Chinese. When Sean heard this, the three of them had a full on conversation in Mandarin! They were communicating better in Chinese then they were in English. So cool to see diversity being embraced in all the various ways.
Much Love!
