Japan Team Update - Day #20
HIGH:
- Team 2's First Day of School!
- All of the kids have instantly connected with Team 2 members. The pivital characteristic of trust has remained in a healthy place. Transitions are often difficult, but with everyone's hearts so pure, good things are coming out of each interaction. We're so grateful to the Lord of being faithful and covering our entire team and all the students.
- As today's classes came to a close, there has been a clear shift from the first half of the trip, to entering into the second half.... We'll put it this way, in a food show analogy... The first half was like the cooking show "Chopped" or "Guy's Grocery Games"- action packed, constant surprises, lightning paced, persistent problem solving, and all with the prussure of urgency and expectation.... On the contrary, the second half has been more like the cooking show "The French Chef with Julia Child" or "Giada at Home"- enjoyable, even keeled, step-by-step format, and gives you the feeling of "yeah I'd like to do that"... HA!... Regardless of the differences, the Lord's Love has remained and rewards have been amazing every single day!
- Prayer & Worship Night!
- Mimo gets a surprise invite and joins in on the worship team. Her obideint yes was a blessing to witness, espcially since she had zero practice or even any notice of what songs were going to be played. Another classic "mission moment."
- Eli shares a vunerable testimony that feels so relatable. The power of God moving in this young man's life is a great inspiration.

LOW:
- Maybe not a low of the day, but somewhat of a sadness that's here on campus. Both our team and the students are noticably missing each other. Great memories have been made, so the emotional transition was inevitable. Thank you letters are being read, pictures are reminisced upon, but the hope/ desire of seeing each other again grows stronger.
BUFFALO:
- Konbini! How is 7-Eleven Japan so good!? Refrigerated onigiri, but the rice taste super fresh!? Egg salad sandwich with bread that has a pillow-like softness?! 7-Eleven week has 20 cent real fruit smoothies?! Team 2 is getting the first taste of greatness here!
Blessings!
