Japan Team Update - Day #31-35
Dear Catalyst Friends & Family,
After a school or work day in Japan, there's a common saying you'd share with someone, "Otsukaresama Deshita." It's taken as "thank you for your hard work," but it's more closely translated to "you look really tired from work." Our team has certainly earned that phrase (in both ways)!
It's hard to find the words that fully capture what this youth & young adult missions trip to Japan has meant to us. As we have arrived home safely, our hearts are overflowing-- with gratitude, with joy, and with a quiet awe at how majestically God moved during with this trip.
Every step of this journey was marked by His Presence. From moments of laughter with new friends to praying in tongues in unfamiliar worship places, we saw God at work-- in the hearts of the people we met, and in the lives of each person on this team. There were days that stretched us beyond our comfort zones, and nights when we felt the weight of bringing the global church together-- but through it all, the Lord never fails and is always faithful.
Thank you to all our friends and family! You stood behind us, believed in us, prayed over us, and poured out your love in so many ways. Because of your generosity, we were able to go out to the Nations and do His Will, not only giving our love unconditionally, but also receiving from God in ways that we wouldn't be able to do anywhere else.
We return not the same as when we left. Our young people have seen what it means to be the hands and feet of Jesus in a culture so different, yet so deeply loved by Him. They've learned that missions is not a moment-- it's a mindset, a calling we carry wherever we go.
Please continue to pray for Full Gospel Fukuoka Church, their school Fukuoka Christian International School, and all the people we met (and loved) in Japan.
As we reflect on all He has done, we hold onto this truth:
"Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen." (Ephesians 3:20-21, NIV)
Thank you Jeeeeeesssssssuuuuuusssss!!!
